And now the ULTIMATE FRIENDS WITH BOYS ENDING, courtesy of Miriam Gibson !!! (Click the comic to read the whole thing!) Seriously, how could you want for more. All the loose ends tied up! Matt, vanquished! Maggie and Alistair, totally making out! Maggie realizes that the greatest treasure is … a cyborg hand!!! Seriously does Miriam know how to wrap up a comic or what? I will be hiring her to do all the endings for all my comics from now until infinity.
You can visit Miriam at her tumblr, Unicorn Brigade, or at her portfolio.
Otherwise! There is some stuff coming up for local people! If you are in the Halifax area, there are two events you might possibly want to attend. One is Ladies’ Night at local comic store Strange Adventures on February 29th, 7-9pm. If you are a lady, please join the rest of us ladies and celebrate comics! I will be there and there might be Friends With Boys copies for purchase, and I will be happy to sign them as well as any other comics of mine you might have. :) If you are not a lady, there will be a signing at Strange Adventures for Friends With Boys on March 3rd (Saturday), from 2-4pm. I hope to see you all there!
Also, I did a review of Carla Speed McNeil’s Finder: Voice graphic novel over at Unshelved, if you’d like to read it.

That is indeed the ultimate ending.
This will be the ending they will use for the movie adaptation of ‘Friends with Boys’. (They will also change the title to ‘Undead High’.)
This ending is TOTALLY plausible! :-) In fact, I’ve had dream sequences like this myself, where all the open ended vagaries of MY life have wrapped up into an awesomely satisfying bow. I imagine that Maggie will wake up and the power of this dream will propel her into a life of empowerment and success… and that someday she will document it all in an autobio-graphic novel.
Congrats FEH! (and very funny alternate endings, MG)
Oh man, I think I’ve had that dream too! Such a good dream. Then you wake up and it isn’t true and booooo-urns.
i love the alternate endings.. that’s a well-cared for imagination :)
I’ve been away from my machine for several days, and can’t see the last pages – please bring back the ‘previous’ and ‘next’ page buttons, or talk to the site designer about the archives – which only go up to page 100.
:(
For some glitchy reason, the next/forward buttons are in the middle of the image. We’ll try to have it fixed later (I’ve no idea how to fix it).
Ah. Thanks!
I love this ending. I mean, Pirates and Cyborgs! All you need is ninjas and everything is perfect!
The ninjas are there, you just can’t see ‘em. :)
Best ending ever! Pirate and cyborg smoochin!
Definitely the best ending right there. What more could you want – except maybe ninjas? ;)
This is as good a place to post as any…my copy of Friends With Boys is IN HAND!!!
Whoo-hoo!
ay!
I thought I’d give you a heads up, Faith, and let you know I wrote up a second review for the comic now that it’s done. You can find it here:

I must say… it’s a story that was well told, and I’ll miss Maggie, her brothers, and her new friends. If you ever decide to write a sequel, I’ll definitely and eagerly read it.

HURRAY!
Dear,
The artwork is great, the characters are charming, the story only a bit lame, but the title is a show-stopper.
In the first place you should name your works after you finish them, start off with a designation if you must, or just a chapter heading. To sell the comic the title should be at least a bit misleading but not too much. I like “The return of the dead man’s hand” but perhaps “Dead man’s hand” if you don’t mind reusing an old title. I don’t know how things are up north but I predict a serious lack of sales under the original name in the USA. I am astonished your publisher let you use it. Best regards
I’m approving this comment, but only because I think it’s the stupidest I’ve ever received. Congrats, dude!
I just bought the book! It looks wonderful in print, and reading it all through allowed me to pick up on a lot I missed before. Thanks for posting FwB online, I can’t wait to see what you produce next.
